In celebration of Vietnam Urban Day on November 8 and in alignment with the theme of the 12th World Urban Forum (WUF12) session, “It All Starts at Home,” as well as to advance urban sustainability, the Ministry of Construction will host the 3rd Vietnam Urban Sustainability Summit on November 8, 2024, in Hanoi.
The event will center around the main theme, “It all starts at home: institutional strengthening for sustainable urban development in Vietnam,” and will include an Opening and Plenary Session and 03 Conference Session. With over 500 delegates expected to attend, the summit will bring together insights from experts, scientists, and businesses in the field of urban development, both domestically and internationally. The goal is to support central and local ministries and agencies in crafting resolutions, action programs, strategies, and specific projects to implement Resolution No. 06 (Resolution No. 06-NQ/TW dated January 24, 2022, by the Politburo on planning, building, managing, and sustainably developing Vietnam’s urban areas by 2030, with a vision to 2045) and the Action Program in Resolution No. 148/NQ-CP (Resolution No. 148/NQ-CP dated November 11, 2022, issued by the Government as an Action Program for implementing Resolution No. 06-NQ/TW).
The Summit will also serve as a platform for discussing and addressing emerging urban challenges, creating opportunities for stakeholders to collaborate in building a comprehensive urban environment across economic, social, and environmental dimensions, aiming toward a more sustainable future.
