The event revolves around the main theme: “IT ALL STARTS AT HOME: INSTITUTIONAL STRENGTHENING FOR SUSTAINABLE URBAN DEVELOPMENT IN VIETNAM” featuring an Opening and Plenary Session and 03 conference sessions. Expected to host over 500 participants, this forum will bring together experts, scientists, and businesses in the field of urban development, both domestically and internationally, to assist central and local ministries and agencies in developing resolutions, action programs, strategies, and detailed proposals to implement Resolution No. 06 (Resolution No. 06-NQ/TW dated January 24, 2022, by the Politburo on the planning, construction, management, and sustainable development of Vietnamese cities to 2030, with a vision to 2045) and the Government’s Action Program at Resolution No. 148/NQ-CP (Resolution No. 148/NQ-CP issued by the Government on November 11, 2022, implementing the Politburo’s Resolution No. 06-NQ/TW dated January 24, 2022, on the planning, construction, management, and sustainable development of Vietnamese cities to 2030, with a vision to 2045) in the coming period. At the same time, it will provide a platform to discuss and address new urban challenges, creating opportunities for stakeholders to collaborate in building an inclusive urban environment across economic, social, and environmental dimensions, toward a more sustainable future.

The plenary session will be a keynote presentation from representatives of governmental stakeholders and international partners, outlining the key challenges and achievements regarding sustainable urban development in Vietnam

Each of these sessions is designed to promote cross-sectoral collaboration and knowledge exchange among the diverse set of participants. By focusing on actionable solutions, these thematic discussions will help Vietnam’s rapidly urbanizing cities become more inclusive, resilient, and sustainable in the face of growing challenges.
